Testing of this site in 2000 revealed a possible ditch and other minor features. Their relationship with a destroyed ringfort nearby was unclear. Monitoring of the topsoil-stripping on the site revealed the ditch-like feature. Testing showed that there was no great depth to the feature and it appears to be a product of natural changes in the subsoil rather than an archaeological feature. Two small patches of charcoal noted elsewhere could better be described as smears than features or layers. No other features or deposits were noted.
