Monitoring of ground disturbance was undertaken at a site at Knockmuldoney, Ballysadare, Co. Sligo, prior to the construction of 36 houses. Bedrock was located directly below the sod in the south of the site and below a thin layer of topsoil throughout the remainder. In the low-lying areas adjacent to the Ballysadare-Sligo roadway, in the north and west, topsoil overlay a light-brown subsoil. The only finds were some 20th-century pottery sherds and glass fragments recovered from the topsoil. No features or artefacts of archaeological significance were encountered.
