The proposed development, to consist of a house, garage, access and septic tank/percolation area, is located in the Bricklieve Mountains between Keash and Castlebaldwin at Kilmorgan, Ballymote. It is near an archaeological complex, comprising both ecclesiastical remains and field systems. Testing was carried out on 20 November 2003. Five trenches, 1m wide and 10m long, were excavated by machine across the site to a depth of between 0.35 and 0.5m. There was no evidence of any archaeological activity on the site.
