Testing was undertaken in advance of construction of the Sligo Retail Park, Carrowroe, Co. Sligo, south of Sligo town.
Three areas of possible archaeological potential were recognised, including a curvilinear ditched feature and two spreads of material containing burnt stone and charcoal, a possible fulacht fiadh. No finds were noted during excavation. Excavation of all areas of archaeological significance is pending.
