Monitoring of the groundworks for the construction of an extension to a dwelling-house was undertaken at Beanfield, Knocknahur, Co. Sligo. Beanfield is situated on the north shore of Ballysadare Bay, c. 8km south-west of Sligo town. An enclosure site is marked as surviving on the site of the extension, although there is no trace of the monument above ground level. No subsurface archaeological remains were uncovered on the site of the extension during monitoring of groundworks.
