The proposed development, to consist of a substantial extension to the existing supermarket, is located to the rear and sides of Fleming's SuperValu, Main Street, Roscommon. The site is within the medieval town of Roscommon. Testing of the area was carried out on 29 July 2003. No evidence of archaeological activity was revealed.
