A small rectangular garden of neglected grazing, 48m east-north-east/west-south-west by 20m wide, was earmarked for four two-storey, semi-detached houses at Cloonbracknagh, Roscommon. Seven test-trenches were cut on-site revealing generally fertile brown clay on a uniform orange/grey or yellow daub. All recovered items were modern.
