The proposed development, to consist of eight houses, access and a treatment plant, is located just outside Rooskey on the Roscommon side of the Shannon. Testing was carried out on 30 August 2003. Three trenches, two measuring 50m by 1m and one measuring 60m by 1m, were excavated across the site. All were excavated to a depth of 0.4–0.6m. No archaeological features or finds were uncovered during the course of the excavation.
