The proposed development site at Coolteige, Four-Mile-House, is outside Roscommon town on the main Tulsk/Roscommon Road. It is to consist of a house, access, garage, septic tank and percolation area. It is near two ringforts. Testing was carried out on 7 June 2003. Five trenches measuring 10m by 1m were excavated across the site. No archaeological features or finds were uncovered in any of them.
