The proposed development, to consist of a mobile telephone mast, compound and access road, is located outside Tulsk, Co. Roscommon, just off the Ballintober Road. The site is near a linear earthwork. Testing was carried out on 19 January 2003. Four trenches were excavated across the site. Trench 1 measured 10m by 1m and was situated across the proposed mast and compound location. Trenches 2–4 measured 20m by 1m and were situated along the proposed access road. All four were excavated to a depth of 0.4–0.6m.
