Testing was undertaken at 90 Glaslough Street, Monaghan, in advance of construction of a commercial and apartment complex. The site is located within the zone of archaeological potential for Monaghan. Testing revealed the presence of garden soils and a possible associated wall feature. The wall seemed to be limited to the southern and south-western area of the proposed development but may extend under the existing building at the rear of the pharmacy facing Glaslough Street. The garden soils contained numerous sherds of post-medieval pottery and animal bone. Nothing of archaeological significance was encountered throughout the remainder of the site.
