Meath County Council granted planning permission to build a two-storey dwelling-house on this site. The developer was required to have the ground disturbance work monitored by an archaeologist. Riverstown henge (SMR 31:32) lies c. 800m to the west, while the monuments on the Hill of Tara are c. 1km distant to the east. The Sloping Trenches on the Hill of Tara are visible from the development site. Slightly further west, in the same townland, are the remains of a tower-house and stone house (SMR 31:31). Archaeological features were not exposed during scraping of the sod or during excavation for the house footings. No artefacts were recovered.
