Monitoring was carried out at the site of a proposed commercial unit at Main Street, Ratoath, on 11 June 2003. The site is within the zone of archaeological potential for the historic town of Ratoath. The proposed development involved the demolition of a modern single-storey shop and the construction in its place of a new three-storey unit containing shop and offices. Monitoring of the removal of the existing foundations and the excavation of the new trenches failed to reveal any features or finds of an archaeological nature.
