Monitoring of groundworks took place on 7–8 October 2003 on a site for a dormer house in the townland of Oristown, Kells. There are a number of monuments in the general area. A linear earthwork (SMR 17:49), 500m to the north in the adjoining townland of Teltown, was partially destroyed in 1997 and subsequently excavated by John Waddell and Madeline O'Brien (Excavations 1997, No. 430; Excavations 1998, No. 519, 97E0301). Nothing of archaeological interest was observed during the monitoring.
