Assessment took place of a 50m stretch of the River Boyne (at its confluence with the River Blackwater) prior to the construction of a concrete slipway, as part of the residential development at Flower Hill, Navan. The survey area extended 20m west and 20m east of the impact area. Visual inspection and magnetometry survey by hand-held metal detection was carried out at the site. No archaeologically significant material was encountered.
