The developer of eighteen houses did not comply with a monitoring condition. The Planning Authority imposed a further condition of assessment including testing.

The site is adjacent to a complex of enclosures and field systems, SMR 43:47. Ten test-trenches were opened, many of them close to where houses had been built but were not yet occupied. None contained any material of an archaeological nature.

A waste treatment plant had been installed within the field system, and the excavation of the trench for the wayleave from this to the Moynalvy River was monitored. The total distance was c. 500m, 100m of which was within the field system. The monitoring did not disclose any material of an archaeological nature. Any further groundworks on the site are being monitored on an ongoing basis.
