Pre-development testing took place at Macetown, Tara, Co. Meath. The development includes a stud farm and associated access roads. The site was located near SMR 32:42 (a tower-house) and SMR 32:44 (a church). Five trenches were excavated throughout the site and a series of test-pits were excavated along the route of the proposed access road. Nothing of archaeological significance was recorded during the testing.
