The site was a long rectangular plot measuring 104m north-south by 27m. Testing was carried out in December 2003 in advance of the construction of a number of shop units, apartments and houses. The testing consisted of the mechanical digging of four cuttings at selected locations on the site. It revealed no features or finds of archaeological significance.
