Monitoring was carried out at the site of a proposed development of a dormer dwelling and associated services at Ballymacan, Co. Meath, on 9 and 10 October 2003. The site was located immediately north-east of the site of a moat (SMR 13:1(01)) and north-east of 'the stuck stone' (SMR 13:1(02)). The topsoil was removed onto a sticky yellow/grey clay. No features of archaeological interest were exposed and no finds were recovered.
