An underwater archaeological visual and metal-detector survey in the vicinity of Blacksod Pier in Termon, Co. Mayo, in advance of a proposed pier development project identified no features or artefacts of archaeological significance. Nine previously identified anomalies were located and investigated in conditions of exceptional visibility. None were of an archaeological nature.
