Testing was carried out at Corbally, Barnacarroll, Knock, Co. Mayo, on 2 July 2003. The proposed development entails a 25m antennae support structure, equipment container and security fencing. The development was close to SMR 91:28, an enclosure. The greenfield site was located in well-drained arable land on the crest of a large hill sloping gently to the east. Three trenches were mechanically excavated to an approximate depth of 0.5m and consisted of ploughsoil over a natural clay. There were no finds or features of archaeological significance.
