Monitoring took place beside the northern edge of an excavated ringfort in Carrowkeel townland (No. 1307 above, 02E0598) when part of an earlier road surface beside the site was removed. The work was carried out under an extension to the licence issued in 2002 as part of the realignment of the N59. No archaeological material was uncovered.
