The area to the east of a large overgrown bivallate enclosure with souterrain was tested by opening seven trial-trenches at 10m intervals in advance of soil-stripping to facilitate the construction of the N26 road. The remainder of the topsoil removal was monitored under the general monitoring licence (No. 1298 above, 03E0271). Nothing of archaeological significance was identified during the course of this testing.
