Monitoring took place on 26 May 2003 of groundworks on a site for a house at Greatwood, six miles north-west of Ardee. The site was in the vicinity of SMR 13:14: 'fulachta fiadh possible'.
Topsoil was stripped from a 24m by 18m area for the house and a 15m by 10m area for the entrance driveway. Nothing of archaeological interest was observed during the topsoil-stripping or during the excavation of foundations.
