An assessment was carried out on 25 February 2003 on the site of a proposed residential development at Galtrimsland, Riverstown, Co. Louth. The proposed development related to the construction of a residential dwelling with septic tank and associated groundworks and was located close to the site of a possible souterrain, SMR 8:90. The assessment was carried out by means of the excavation of six test-trenches orientated north-west/south-east. No finds or features of archaeological significance were discovered.
