Site 130, Faughart Lower 4, was excavated in advance of the M1 Dundalk Western Bypass. Linear testing carried out by Shane Delaney in March 2002 (Excavations 2002, No. 1293, 02E0658) highlighted two potential hearths in the area. Two areas measuring 20m by 20m were stripped over the potential hearths. This revealed that the two areas of burning were not archaeological.
