The proposed development relates to the construction, on the site of a recently demolished modern house, of a three-bedroomed holiday unit, with parking space to the south, and the removal of a retaining wall. A single test-trench was excavated on the site and the removal of the retaining wall was monitored. No archaeological features or deposits were exposed in the trench and the retaining wall was removed directly onto natural boulder clay
