The development site is located on the northern side of Lower Bishop Street, Newcastle West, in the zone of archaeological potential for the medieval town. Planning permission was granted for alterations and an extension to the property. Foundation trenches for the new building were excavated on the site. No archaeological features or artefacts were recorded.
