Several trenches were dug across the site by machine in advance of a mixed development. The remains uncovered were modern and appeared to relate predominantly to a 1960s bakery structure and a modern tannery. Tannery material was identified in the south-west portion of the site in the form of deposits relating to the tanning process (bark mulch, etc.). Nothing of an archaeological nature dating to the medieval period was uncovered, and no artefacts were retrieved.
