Phase 2 of a housing development at Glenfield, Kilmallock, Co. Limerick, was monitored. The easternmost section of the site is situated within the zone of archaeological potential for the town (SMR 47:22). Topsoil-stripping and the excavation of foundation trenches for the remaining sixteen houses were monitored over several months in late 2002 and early 2003. A chronologically undiagnostic flint flake was recovered during topsoil removal, but no further finds or features were uncovered during groundworks.
