A proposal to construct a house close to Grange church and graveyard (SMR 36:40(01, 02)), Knockaderry, was altered when an impact assessment found that the site chosen would be too close to the monument and would remove part of the trackway into the site. Both the trackway and the church and graveyard are depicted on the first edition of the OS map. The church is mentioned in the 15th century, but the townland is documented from the late 13th century onwards.
The house was relocated further to the south. Monitoring of the groundworks did not reveal any archaeological material.
