The proposed house is located c. 4km south-west of Newcastle West. The zone of archaeological potential around an enclosure, SMR 36:109, bordered the site to the west.
Monitoring of all topsoil removal was undertaken in the areas of the house platform, driveway and septic tank. No archaeological material was recorded.
