Monitoring of ground disturbance of Phase 1 of a housing development, the construction of twelve houses in the northern half of the field, was carried out from 9 to 24 June 2003 and completed on 10 October. A ringfort was situated at the south-west corner of the field. Throughout the site a shallow layer of topsoil overlay a clay marl. Two stone-lined drains were recorded, but nothing of archaeological significance was disturbed.
