Planning permission was granted for the construction of a bungalow on a site at Ballinrea, Bruff, Co. Limerick, with a condition which required monitoring of all ground disturbance on-site. The site is located to the north-west of, and outside, the zone of archaeological potential for an enclosure. Topsoil was removed by machine to a depth of 0.2–0.3m to reveal a grey clay subsoil throughout. No archaeological finds or features were noted on-site.
