The proposed development, to consist of eighteen houses, five serviced sites, access and related services, is located on the edge of Manorhamilton to the rear of the hospital. The site is located near a number of cemeteries, including a Famine graveyard. Testing was carried out on 22 September 2003. Six trenches were excavated; four measured 140m long, one was 80m long and one 65m long. All were excavated to a depth of between 0.15 and 0.25m. No archaeological features or finds were uncovered during the course of the excavation.
