The proposed development site at Gortnalibbert is located outside Glenboy, Co. Leitrim, south-west of Glenboy school. It includes the construction of a reservoir and access road for the group water scheme. The site is located close to a well-preserved ringfort located in the adjacent field, south of the reservoir. A minimum 40m buffer zone has been maintained between the ringfort and the edge of the development. Monitoring was carried out of all excavation works associated with the proposed development. No archaeological remains were revealed.
