Five trenches were dug at Site 9, Ballyadding, to assess the significance of a cropmark, part of which would be affected by the construction of the M7 Heath–Mayfield road. The trenches revealed field boundaries which appear on the 1840 first-edition OS map and no other features of archaeological significance.
