Planning permission was granted for the development of a three-storey dormer-type building for Kilkenny Collective Arts, Talent and Camphill Community at Mill Street, Callan North, Co. Kilkenny. The site lies within the zone of archaeological potential for the historic town of Callan. The grant of planning required that testing be carried out on-site. Two trenches were excavated just inside the area of the footprint of the proposed development. Both were found to contain loose rubble fill of 19th-century date with natural orangey/brown clay beneath. No archaeological finds or features were noted on the site.
