Testing was undertaken at a proposed residential development site in the townland of Stephenstown North, Two Mile House, Naas, Co. Kildare. An oval-shaped disused burial ground (SMR 24:22) is indicated on 6-inch maps as being located in a field to the north-west of the development area. The only surface indications of this site is a possible, very faint, bank running in an arc, inside which is a hollowed-out area. There are no other surface indications for a burial ground.
Twenty trenches were excavated, both by machine and hand, within the proposed development area. No features or finds of archaeological interest were uncovered.
