Excavation took place prior to road construction on the M7 Heath–Mayfield Motorway Scheme. Located at Lughil townland, the site comprised two separate areas of activity initially identified during centre-line testing by Brendán Ó Ríordáin (No. 912, Excavations 2003, 03E0127). Excavations uncovered hearth activities with associated post-holes and disturbed subsoil.
