Testing was undertaken at a proposed residential development site in the townland of Kilteel Lower, Co. Kildare. A medieval complex, consisting of ecclesiastical remains, earthworks, a castle, a cross and a stone gate, lies to the east of the proposed development area. In addition, there is a barrow located to the north of the site.
Seventeen trenches were excavated by both machine and hand within the proposed development area. No features or finds of archaeological interest were uncovered as a result of the testing process.
