Monitoring of the proposed extension to the waste facility site at Kerdiffstown, Co. Kildare, was required. The proposed development is located on quarried land, a portion of which is currently being used for the recovery of C&D wastes. A mound, SMR 19:18, was sited to the west of the development, but this has been quarried away, and the ruins of a church and graveyard (SMR 19:6) occur outside the north-east perimeter of the site. The proposed development extension is to the south of the church, beyond the existing quarry.
Two modern features and one feature of negligible archaeological potential were uncovered during monitoring.
