Monitoring was undertaken of a site at Moat Commons, Clane, on 16 June 2003, prior to the construction of a dormer bungalow with detached garage. The development site lay within the zone of archaeological potential for Clane, close to an Anglo-Norman motte.
The reduction of ground levels within the take of the new development was monitored. No archaeological material or artefacts were identified.
