Two test-trenches, each measuring 1m by 3m, were opened down to subsoil, using a track machine with a flat toothless bucket, in advance of groundworks for the Curragh Wastewater Scheme in the vicinity of a ring-barrow site. Nothing of archaeological significance was encountered.
