Testing was carried out at Site 12 on 19 and 20 August as part of the programme of testing for the N7 Naas Road Widening and Interchanges Scheme. Located immediately east of Kill village, Site 12 was identified in the environmental impact statement as a possible earthwork. A low raised area was inspected that measured 55m by 30m. It was irregular in both height and outline and stood less than 1m in height. It and other possible features in the field were tested. Twelve trenches were excavated by machine across the area and nothing of archaeological significance was recorded.
