Monitoring was carried out at Boycetown, Kilcock, Co. Kildare, over a period of two weeks in September and October 2003. The proposed development entails the construction of a warehousing facility and ancillary offices, along with associated services, infrastructure, storage and landscaping in an area measuring 13,937m2.
During the course of monitoring, two small pits were observed in the northernmost field at the subject site. No diagnostic material was recovered from the northern pit. A small amount of burnt-bone fragments were recovered from the other. These have been retained for analysis. Nothing further of archaeological significance was recovered.
