Test-trenches were excavated before the construction of 30 semi-detached holiday units in Waterville, Co. Kerry. The proposed development falls within the zone of archaeological potential for a fulacht fiadh, SMR 98:31, the precise location of which is unknown. Twenty-seven test-trenches were excavated using a mechanical excavator. No archaeological features were observed.
