Monitoring of the area of a housing development at Caherweesheen was undertaken. The site is on the southern perimeter of Tralee in an area of intensive prehistoric activity. Topsoil was removed from an area of 2,500 m2 by a track machine. The area was wet, due to the presence of natural springs. The varied subsoil consisted of a mix of clay and sands. No archaeological features or artefacts were recorded.
