Nothing of archaeological significance was noted during testing of the area of a proposed extension to the Aghadoe Heights Hotel, near Killarney. Much of the extension was to be on an area formerly occupied by a dwelling-house built during the 1970s. Earlier monitoring work of a previous extension, during 1999, had not encountered any archaeological remains. The hotel is across the road from SMR 66:16, which contains the remains of a church and round tower and is still in use as a graveyard.
