Planning permission was granted for the construction of a bungalow, septic tank and percolation area on a site at Nunstown, Aghadoe, Killarney, which fell just inside the zone of archaeological potential for a potential fulacht fiadh. A condition of planning required that all ground disturbance on-site be monitored. Topsoil was removed from the site to a depth of 0.2–0.3m by machine to reveal a grey clay subsoil throughout. No finds or features of an archaeological nature were noted during monitoring.
